Metalurgia 2006 gathered more than 16,000

Metalurgia 2006 gathered more than 16,000 people at the Megacentro Wittich Freitag pavilion during the International Fair and Congress of Technology for Foundry, Steelmaking, Forging, Aluminum, and Services. The result was the generation of approximately R$ 180 million in business, which should be consolidated within a year after the event. Metalurgia 2006 brought together around 300 companies from each segment of the foundry industry's production chain - including exhibitors from countries such as England, Canada, USA, and China. For exhibitors, the balance was positive. "The fair this year was exceptional, and we are proud to be a part of it. We had a very good visitation from our customers outside the region, and the business prospecting was also very good," highlighted André Luiz Wetzel, Vice President Director of Wetzel S/A. "We came only to showcase our product and have already sold approximately R$ 1.7 million in machines," said Sylton Harb, National Sales Manager of Taurus Máquinas Ltda, which participated in the fair for the first time and presented the first High-Speed machine 100% manufactured in Brazil, for use in die-casting. The quality of the audience - technical, focused on the sector - was also highlighted by exhibitors: "We had a more intense visitation focused on business. We are very optimistic," says Cláudio Bell, Director of Hunter Space. "Metalurgia is an opportunity to meet national and Mercosur clients. The event's level is excellent," says Simone Terezinha Vick da Silva, Administrative Director of Materials.
