Activated Carbon Dust (ACD) is one of the raw materials that COQUE DO SUL provides in Metalurgia booth. Supplied to casthouses, the product is used in molding process in green sand, with the advantage of optimizing material use and reducing sand disposal upon use.
ACD can be applied as a replacement to Cardiff Carbon Dust in green sand, reducing approximately 70% Carbon Dust addition in the mix, among other benefits, including molding process quality. ACD is a carbonaceous additive that contains water soluble hydrocarbons, a portion of Carbon Dust, and other components required to achieve casts, with outstanding finishing.
